“Let both grow together until the harvest.” — Matthew 13:30
A man sows good seed. An enemy comes at night and sows weeds through the same field. By the time anyone notices, the roots are tangled together, and the servants want to go pull the weeds out immediately.
The owner tells them no — not because the weeds are fine, but because ripping them out now would take the wheat with them.
The message applied that to families, to churches, to communities. Something is wrong and the instinct is to tear it out today. But some things are too intertwined to rip out cleanly, and the damage from the pulling would be worse than the damage from the waiting. That is not tolerance of the weeds. It is trusting that the harvest is God’s job, on God’s timing, and He has not forgotten about it.
Problems are guaranteed — in the world ye shall have tribulation — but they do not get to run the place. All things still work together for good to them that love God.
The service closed with Holy Communion.
